Restricted Allen County Court Records
Not all Allen County court records are public online. Juvenile CHINS, delinquency, termination, adoption, many juvenile paternity records, mental-health commitment material, protected personal identifiers, sealed files, expunged matters, and protection order cases have strict limits. MyCase does not show protection order cases because federal law excludes protected-party identifying information from online public access.
Expungement and sealing questions are governed by Indiana Code 35-38-9. A pending or denied expungement can remain visible, while a granted expungement may remove or restrict the case depending on the order and record type. Juvenile records are governed in part by Indiana Code 31-39. When a file is missing from MyCase, the right next step is not to assume it does not exist. The user should check the Clerk, the court, or counsel when access depends on status, party rights, or a court order.
